Mickelson Golf Rankings

The Mickelson Golf Rankings is a season-long individual competition for all Mickelson Men's Night players. This ranking system closely parallels the rules and structure of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup, providing an engaging and competitive environment for participants.

Points are awarded based on finishing position in all Men's Night weeks starting May 15, 2024 to the end of the season. 

Key Features:

1. Point System: Similar to the FedEx Cup, the Mickelson Golf Rankings operate on a point-based system. Golfers accumulate points based on their performance in Men's Night events throughout the season.

2. Point Allocation: Points are awarded based gross score finishing position in each Men's Night event. Each finishing position is awarded a specific number of points (see chart below).

3. Weekly Tie-Breakers: In the event of tied positions at the end of the week, the points assigned to each tied position will be added together and then evenly distributed among the golfers who are tied, by dividing the total points by the number of tied golfers.

4. Flight System: The field of golfers is divided into four flights based on handicap. This ensures that golfers of similar skill levels compete against each other, enhancing the fairness and competitiveness of the league.

5. Leaderboard Tracking: A dynamic leaderboard tracks the rankings of golfers throughout the season, providing transparency and motivation for participants to strive for higher standings.

6. Promotion of Fair Competition: The ranking system promotes fair competition by ensuring that performance is accurately reflected and rewarded, thus encouraging golfers to continually improve and excel.
